U.S. Military donates language lab

(posted Feb. 29, 11:55 a.m.)- The U.S. Military has donated a new $88,000 English-language lab to the Nicaragua Army to help Nicaraguan soldiers learn English so they can participate in international military initiatives such as the U.S. Southern Command’s Global Peace initiative, according to a U.S. embassy release.

The language lab donation was made last Friday afternoon by Coronel Edward Bonfoey, Senior Defense Official in Nicaragua.

Let me get this straight: The US Military now has a Global Peace initiative? Isn’t this like a street gang hosting a prayer breakfast? The Orwellian aspects are unmistakable.
