(posted April 6, 8:00 a.m.)- After finding his invitation from Costa Rica, Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega confirmed that he will be going to next month’s Central American presidential summit with U.S. President Barack Obama in San Jose, Costa Rica.
First lady and government spokeswoman Rosario Murillo made the announcement during her Friday afternoon address.
Obama will arrive in Costa Rica May 3 for a dinner with his Central American counterparts, before the summit on May 4. This will be Obama’s second visit to Central America. He visited El Salvador in 2011 for an extended layover on the return from his South American trip to Chile and Brazil.
