Nicaragua rattled by 6.4 quake

(posted March 2, 5:15 am) — A series of strong earthquakes off the northwestern tip of the country shook Nicaragua out of her sleep early this morning.

The Nicaraguan Institute of Territorial Studies (INETER) reported seven tremors in front of Cosigüina Volcano between 3:37 – 4:32 a.m. Three of the quakes registered magnitudes over 5.0, and the strongest — felt all the way in Managua — registered 6.4 on the Richter Scale.

Similar tremors were reported this morning in El Salvador. At time of publication, there are no reports of damage.

I want to report an injury due to the recent earthquake.
I heard something crash at 5:00 a.m. (falling roof tile?) and got up to investigate and was stung by a scorpion on my big toe!

Could this be God telling the Nicas not to build a canal? It worked once a few years back with the US Congress when they were shown a post stamp from Nica with gorgeous volcanoMomotombo in the middle….
