Family members of those accused of orchestrating the July 19 massacre in Matagalpa wait for news outside the court.

(posted July 24, 1:20 pm) — The Nicaraguan Prosecutors’ Office last night accused three Sandinistas from the municipality of Ciudad Darío, Matagalpa of leading the armed assault on a Sandinista caravan that killed five people on July 19, according to online daily Confidencial.

Matagalpa Prosecutor Yessenia Dolmus officially accused Juan José Torres, Gregorio Torres and Erick Salgado of organized crime, murder and inflicting serious injuries. The three men, all members of the Sandinista Front, were captured in the hours following the ambush.

    The Nica police and Army have received instructions from Ortega no to accept caravans were attacked by armed Contras. Contras have announced future terrorists attacks all over the Country and this will destroy any hopes Ortega had on surviving. His days are numbered.
    This is the reason why the police is charging innocent people to divert blame and attention.

    If the facts keep unfolding this way, I will have to admit that I was wrong to say that no way was this a Sandinista attack. Right now though I with Randy and scratching my head. This isn’t making sense.
